Welcome to Hulkamania

Welcome to the fanlistings.org approved fanlisting for former WWE superstar, Hulk Hogan. In my opinion, there would be no Rock, no Steve Austin, no Triple H, no John Cena had it not been for Hulk Hogan. Hogan was probably the most important superstar of the WWE when he was with the company the second time he returned to the company in 1983. By then he had made somewhat of a name for himself because Vincent K. McMahon wanted to expand the territory into a nationwide one. And he wanted Hogan to be the main attraction due to his name recogntion and charisma. And on January 23, 1983 Hulkamania was born. Hogan not only became the company's top superstar, but he was really the first wrestler to become a celebrity in the sense then that Cena and the Rock are today. So, to me, Hogan opened that door up for professional wrestlers to become more than wrestlers. To my generation, and I grew up during Hulkamania, there will never, ever be anything that can replace Hulkamania. Hulk Hogan was the wrestler that kids wanted to grow up to be like, and a whole generation of Hulkamaniacs trained, said their prayers, and at their vitamins because that's what Hulk Hogan told us to do.
